Art Class: Rhythmic Ribbons

  • Duvall Performing Arts Center 15715 Main Street NE, Suite 201 Duvall, WA 98019 (map)

Join us in creating art for the March of the Vegetables Parade in Duvall, WA, happening on Saturday, March 25, 2017.

Participants will work in the technique of Japanese silk painting by playing with loose paint on translucent fabric. Layers of watercolor like paint applied over "masked" areas of drawing and design reveal beautifully bold and flowing works of art that represent the elements of growth, wind, rain, and sun.

Young artists (recommended ages 3 - 5) will enjoy playing with loose paint and color while parents and guardians create collaborative designs and final construction. Final cloth creations will be transformed into rhythmic ribbons that can be waved or danced with in the parade!

This would be a great class to attend with your child, grandchild, or young friend. Badieh Bryant will teach this class. Contact Badieh directly with questions: frontspacestudio@gmail.com
